well I dont think I am allowed to post about when I was raped at the age of 18 in the parking lot of an after hours dance club... and when I told my "best friend" at that time what happened, she said "Oh the club closes in an hour and a half, you can wait that long." When I was finally convinced to talk to the cops and go to the hospital I got the whole victim is to blame thing from the cops.

still have flashbacks and PTSD type symptoms but is getting better thanks to a patient and understanding husband.

I had problems like that with my step family (not my step dad) but step bro, step cuz and step grandfather between the ages of 5 and 12 but my memories were so severe I had blocked them out until about 4 years ago my nightmares and flashbacks started hittting me hard and I got where I was extremely nervous around men and pretty much got where I wouldnt let anyone touch me at all.. became so anti-social my best friend talked me into going to a psychiatrist and after about a year I started getting my life back, my husband at the time *Daniel* had stayed with me throught it alland we started getting our life put back together. As oof now I haven't had any flashbacks in a little over a year and very seldom have nightmares...Me and my huband are currently getting a divore because I caught him cheating on me with a co-worker of his and found out that he had been seeing her for the last 5 years off and on. So as of now I am single and just trying to figure out where I belong in life. I must say though that it has been my faith in God that has pulled me through my crazy life thusfar.

Sad thing is even as a child I never told anyone....not anyone and as an adult my mom still never knew and still doesnt know about how bad my chilhood really was, she thinks it was a good one and I let her believe that.

My best friend and husband were the only peop;e I ever really told the truth to....and my best friend was there at the shrink with me so poor girl knows ever groosm detail

I suspect there may have been some childhood stuff that was not physical and other than the emotional (if ya get what I mean) by the hands of my mother. I cant say for sure though because I have only fragments of memories and dont know if I can trust those and of course my mom would never admit to anything.

For me now I can remember my childhood as if it all happened yesterday...My mom was a good mom but I was a better actress and so everyone only saw this cute little happy girl.
It all ended when my family moved and after we move and I turned 12 I was sooo tired of it that I stabed my brother in the stomach.....ofcourse to keep himself out of trouble for the reason I stabbed him...he told my parents that he tripped and had the knife in his hand and fell on it. he was 16 at the time and from then on he never tried anything again.

and somehow I went on with life as if nothing had ever happened ...I refused to even think of my past. but now I know it was the wrong way to deal with things but bieng a kid I only wanted to pretend it never happened so I made up my own meemories in my mind that were good...poor shrink she had hell decifering which of my memories were true memories and which were ones I had made up in my mind to cope with the others


And yes bestfriends are great...She is really my only TRUE friend and I love her to death....we've been through hell and back together...AND NO WE AREN"T LEZBIENS lol.....but I would do anything in the world for her... Its rare you find a friend that you know you can trust completely

Well they say God will never allow you to endur more than he believes you can handle...I firmly believe that.......I think if I hadnt of had those experiences in my life I wouldnt be such a good person now....God knew I would be ok..not at all saying I am greatful for those experiences I am just greatful that I was strong enough emotionally not to let my past concuer my future ya know

I don't know... I'm sure I have heard it somewhere but that is the advice I give to my friends. I don't know exactly why but I always seem to be the one to lean on.
